House fire

A perfect June afternoon was spoiled by a devastating fire that destroyed this home in a rural area - just north of Richmond. I covered this for The Richmond Times Dispatch, you can see the story in today's paper (see page B-6 of the "Metro-Business" section, Wednesday June 24th). 

The family lost their pet dog, plus all of their household belongings. And in addition, a scenic old farm house has disappeared from the landscape in King William County.

Kim and Mike are having their rehearsal dinner at The Boathouse Restaurant in Brandermill, which is located just on the shore (in the background) from this dock. Great area for fishing, boating and watching  the sun set.

The Mill at Fine Creek

                                        Our Sunday wedding (May 31) was so pleasant. And it's always nice to hear the sound of a nearby creek. Mary and Greg were quite happy that they chose  The Mill at Fine Creek for their ceremony and reception.
